Small Agency. Big Savings

Cheshire London Outreach is a community care provider in London, Ontario. With about 40 employees and 45 clients, Cheshire is one of GoldCare's smaller sites, but the gains they've seen since implementing GoldCare are anything but small!
Before choosing GoldCare, Cheshire was handling everything manually. From employee payroll to scheduling client visits, they would write or type out this information each time. Aside from being tedious and time consuming, the paper method also left a lot of holes and errors were common. Having decided they needed a new system, they started looking. Staff reviewed systems for about six months, but when they saw GoldCare, they knew it was right for them! Then came the hard part...
Lorraine Catala (Team Leader at Cheshire) said that she had a difficult time imagining how things would work on the new system: "e;moving from a paper environment to an electronic one, was difficult to envision, but after two or three weeks live, I forgot all about paper!"
So, what's changed since implementing GoldCare? That's easy...a whole lot! Lorraine says the biggest difference is the time factor. Having recently completed an Executive Summary outlining the impact of GoldCare, Lorraine reportes an average savings of 20 hours a week. And for a small agency, that's a whole lot of hours! For example, although Cheshire doesn't use GoldCare Payroll, they do generate a GoldCare payroll report in about 45 minutes, a task that previously took up to 8 hours! Plus, information is at your finger tips. You can generate statistical reports any time you want with little effort. And, things are a lot more accurate in employee payroll and schedules.
"With GoldCare," Lorraine points out, "you reduce the chance for human error. The right people are booked and we don't have two people showing up for the same appointment. And, payrolls are more accurate, which keeps everyone happy."
When asked how employees responded to GoldCare, Lorraine indicated that it took a little while for some people to get used to the new schedules and the 24 hour format at first, but now they really like it. GoldCare schedules allow room for the employee to make notes and it's easy to read and easy to follow.
GoldCare wishes the staff at Cheshire London Outreach continued success!
