Maintain your organization’s infection control standards with GoldCare’s Infection Control application, which allows you to define, monitor and report on symptoms, infections and outbreaks at your care site(s). Infection Control has many tools to help your organization accurately record symptom, infection and outbreak data; identify, treat and contain outbreaks; and track outbreak trends for future care planning.
Criteria Definition: Define the criteria for recording symptom, infection and outbreak information, and the conditions that must exist to confirm the presence of an infection or outbreak.
Database Cross-checking: Automatically check for new infections and outbreaks using calculations based on user-defined symptom rules. GoldCare Infection Control will compare possible infections and outbreaks against existing records; if none exists, a new infection record is automatically created.
Email Notification: An automatic email notification is sent to staff, doctors, agencies and other parties when an outbreak is confirmed.
Analysis: Follow up, report on and compare outbreaks at your site, and track outbreak trends using the GoldCare Outbreak report, which displays the affected client/room/bed, onset date, lab specimens and other outbreak details.
Information from Infection Control can be integrated with GoldCare’s Incident Reporting and Health Records applications, which allows the client/resident’s clinical record to be accessible across multi-disciplinary areas.
